Solagran Limited is an Australian biotechnology company founded in 1995 with the objective of commercialising a series of natural, biologically active substances collectively trademarked as Bioeffectives^®.

Solagran is named after Professor Fyodor Solodky and Dr Asney Agranat, the founders of Forest Biochemistry, which is the science of identification, extraction, isolation and utilisation of the live elements of trees. It was listed in Australia and Germany in August 2003.

Solagran's Bioeffectives^® are biologically active galenical substances obtained using specialised, patented technology that allows their isolation as balanced, synergistic complexes possessing high nutrient and therapeutic properties.

Unlike conventional pharmaceuticals which are generally single molecule synthetics with a narrow band of applications and sometimes significant side effects, Bioeffectives^® are multiple molecule complexes with a wide range of applications and very low side effects. Most contain a range of biologically active ingredients, including chlorophyll and its derivatives, vitamins, phytosterols, polyprenols and many other biologically active components – in proportions determined by nature, not by Solagran.

The current family of 17 Bioeffectives^® was developed as a result of a research program that began in the 1930s at the St Petersburg Forest Technical Academy and which has continued, uninterrupted, to the present day.

Solagran owns all patents, trademarks and intellectual property relating to Bioeffectives^®. It also has the right to all future developments at the Academy that are related to Bioeffectives^®.

Solagran has two primary commercial goals. The first is to commercialise the existing family of Bioeffectives^®, utilising their wide range of applications. The second is to fund an ongoing research effort to develop additional Bioeffectives^®. Since it listed in 2003, four new Bioeffectives^® have been added to Solagran’s portfolio.
